Community Engagement Center

A community resource available for individuals who require daytime shelter and may be experiencing or at risk of homelessness. We provide support for accessing housing through various programs. Additionally, we offer assistance to community members dealing with substance abuse disorders and mental health challenges, facilitating access to treatment. Participation in Centerstone programs is not a requirement, but we encourage individuals to consider it.

Our services extend to aiding with applications for food stamps and health insurance, as well as connecting individuals with primary care doctors. Weekly job assistance is provided through Drive Staffing for employment opportunities. Qualifying individuals can receive free government phones through our Thursday sign-up sessions. In our new facility, washers are available for those needing to launder clothes. Referrals are also provided for showers at the neighboring Stride Center during our operational hours.

IYG Counseling Program

The IYG Counseling Program is open to any youth and young adults between the ages of 12-24. The counseling services provided are focused on providing short-term counseling that is trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based. We also offer some long-term therapy services as well. The program's goal is to support young people in all areas of their lives, including identity development, building healthy coping skills, and navigating stressful life circumstances. All services at IYG are LGBTQ+ and gender-affirming. Sessions can be completed in person or virtually and support groups are available. All therapy services are provided free of cost.

Counseling, also known as therapy, is one of the simplest ways to achieve a happier, healthier you. Recovery Café

The Recovery Cafe is a community of individuals who have come from all paths of life and have been devastated by substance use, homelessness, and other mental health challenges. STRIDE Center

The STRIDE Center is a crisis diversion program serving residents of Bartholomew and surrounding counties who are experiencing mental health crises or related challenges. An alternative to jail, Centerstone’s Stride Center allows adults 18 and over experiencing mental health or substance use crises to immediately connect with trained professionals who can deescalate their situation, provide one-on-one consultation, and connect them to necessary community resources, such as housing, peer support, residential treatment, food, and clothing.

Additionally, the Stride Center offers a mobile crisis response component, allowing trained staff to be deployed into the community to triage individuals in crisis and create safety plans for their unique circumstances.
